Drainage work progress

Wednesday 25th March
Job finished other than tarmac areas in car park which will be done next week. Block paving in car park finished and stone put on other parking area. Areas of trench that were left rough cemented over to give smoother finish. Site cleared up.

Tuesday 24th March
Block paving in car park almost finished. Steps finished and front fence put back.
Monday 23rd March
More concrete put in trench. Trench work now completed.
Friday 20th March
Chambers finished. Trench partially filled with concrete. Reconstruction of steps and block paving started.
Thursday 19th March
Connection under paving by clubhouse made. Drain tested. Stone infill put in.
Wednesday 18th March
Base of chambers put in and pipes connected between them all.
Tuesday 17th March
Trench now connects from clubhouse to car park. Areas for chambers dug out.
Monday 16th March
There is now just the bit of trench across the corner of court 3 to dig.
Friday 13th March
The trench is now half way across court 2. No snags today.
Thursday 12th March
The trench has now turned the corner and is nearly halfway along the fence. No snags today.
Wednesday 11th March
The trench reaches the back fence. No more pipes found but what is thought to be a water pipe has now been found to cross from one side of the trench to the other.
Tuesday 10th March
Trench work outside clubhouse started. Two pipes discovered running parallel to trench. Due to pipes trench has to be dug further away from clubhouse. Later a third pipe is discovered running parallel to the new trench.
Monday 9th March
Trench dug to within a couple of feet of the fence, pipe laid and trench backfilled. Skip delivered. Photos
Friday 6th March
Trench dug to connect to foul drain in car park. Unexpected amount of concrete backfill discovered that had to be broken through in order to break into chamber. Connection made to foul drain. Photos
Thursday 5th March
Pipes stored on court 1. Block paving in car park taken up. Tarmac near manhole cut with disc cutter. Gravel delivered. Photos
